Monday

I finished my swap quilt.
10" squares of Kaffe Fasset with a coordinate to match.
Isn't it wild?

The tutorial for this block is here.

This little quilt top was an experiment.
I did NO planning.
I just did some cutting and sewing.

Since I didn't do any planning......
I ended up with a pretty small quilt top.
Right now it's only 48"x48".
I guess TECHNICALLY it's NOT finished.
I do want it to GROW.
And.....
If I want it to grow...
You've GOT IT......
I'll have to SHOP!
Ah well......
Worse things have happened!!!
:)

Who won the book, you ask??
sosarahsew!
Congratulations!!!

  4. I love poke-your-eye-out bright colors and I love that quilt block! I did a challenge quilt recently with K Fassett and Phillip Jacobs fabrics and I called it Holy Cr*p That's Bright. It's going to be my retreat quilt and I will have to wear sunglasses to bed.

  9. We could all use something fun like this to brighten up grey and rainy days! I am surprised how vibrant the solids look against the Kaffe prints; I would have thought it would be the other way around. Love it!

  11. So colorful and lively! Great job. Shopping is just such a chore, right?? Will look forward to see what you add. Many of my quilts are "invent-as-you-go" style. And they always seem to turn out to have a certain appeal (to me anyway).

  16. Who needs to plan when you've got that much creativity just bursting out of you? The top is wonderful, and I wish I'd been paying attention because that book is on my wish list!
